We perform checks on reviews
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published. When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines. Learn more about our review moderation.

Bad beer.
Nice looking pub from outside. Nearby pubs rammed, packed. But not this one.One beer on tap, Doom Bar aka vinegar. Barman should not have served it. We were in the PH for maybev20 mins. Not another pint of DB served. So at a guess...mine was lingering in the pipes for hours, hence the YUCKY taste. If you want a draft BEER, not lager, AVOID this pub.More

Overpriced and over rated
We had my mums wake here at the beginning of March. As a family we did not want it here but mum played darts in the pub. We paid 400 for the buffet food and supplied our own cakes. The food was in VERY short...supply. Not value for money. I think you could of done the food offered for 150.00. The drinks were very expensive. The pub was also on the smelly side. Think they have a problem with the drains. The outside smoking area is in need of a refit. Split covers. I would not recommend this for a party, wake or gathering. The smell of the drains have to be sorted. Health Hazard,More

Traditional pub with a friendly feel!
Lovely traditional pub tucked away in Clerkenwell. A good selection of beers, multiple dart boards and live sport. Fairly priced for the area... was expecting it to be more expensive.

Friendly atmosphere and nice drinks
Long standing favorite of mine over many years. Traditional pub where people are friendly and is a great place to have a quiet drink. Hidden gem.

Can't rate this place highly enough. Straightforward and completely unpretentious, a friendly landlord and great real ale; what more do you need?

A proper British Pub
This tucked away pub has an outside area & upstairs there is a darts room. Downstairs the main bar is of a reasonable size & is a kind of J shape. When we visited we could see a decent selection of drinks. We had a...tasty Sussex Ale & I could also see Rev James Gold. We were made to feel really welcome.More
